Instructions
Here's an exercise that will help you learn the fingerings of the major scale, alternate picking, and shifting the left hand along the neck.
How the exercise is built
The first six notes of the F major scale are respectively F, G, A, Bb, C and D. We'll play these notes in this order over three octaves, then the next six notes of the major scale, starting from the second note (G, A, Bb, C, D and E), and so on all the way along the neck.
How to practice it
Practicing with the metronome is more than recommended, and alternate picking is mandatory.
Exercice 1
Work slowly to internalize the small movements and increase speed once you feel comfortable.
