Instructions
This study is taken from William Leavitt's Modern Method for Guitar, published by Berklee Press.
This study is played in position 2 (index finger on the second fret) and aims to develop dexterity and endurance.
Work slowly. Aim for perfect coordination between the left and right hand before increasing the tempo. Also focus on keeping your fingers as close to the fretboard as possible. Fingers that aren't fretting a note should still stay close to the strings.
The study is fairly long (especially with the repeats), so it also builds left-hand endurance. Take some time to rest after your ten minutes of practice.
Exercice 1
Work slowly. Speed will come with repetition. Don't aim for speed, aim for clean playing.
