Instructions

This exercise, inspired by Joe Bonamassa's playing, will let you work on the E minor pentatonic scale.

The same idea is used in all 3 exercises: the first goes from the high E string to the D string, the second requires going up to the low E string, and the third replays the same notes horizontally along the neck. This third shape will help you partly internalize 4 of the minor pentatonic scale shapes.

At first, don't try to go fast - aim instead for the smoothest, most even playing possible.

Exercice 1

Play very slowly at first (60bpm) and speed up in small steps once you feel comfortable.
